Hand-sewn women's moccasins made from Nanai salmon leather
Hand-stitched Salmon Leather Moccasins
Our moccasins, made from genuine Nanai salmon leather, are something very special – elaborately hand-crafted using the traditional vegetable tanning process of the Nanai people ("The Golden Ones") in Bischofsmais/Germany. The salmon skins come from certified Irish organic salmon farms with species-appropriate animal husbandry.
Our moccasins are manufactured in Ticino/Italy. For three generations, the Italian family business has specialized in the production of moccasins. With extensive experience and craftsmanship, a total of six salmon skins, no two of which are alike, are artfully hand-processed into a pair of moccasins; entirely lined inside with glove-soft cowhide nappa leather from Ecopell. Each pair is unique and a masterpiece of craftsmanship due to the special nature of the leather.
The vegetable-tanned, particularly skin-friendly, and 100% breathable upper and inner leather ensure the best foot climate. The removable and soft footbed provides special comfort and can be replaced with individual foot inserts if required. "Walking on clouds" and "forgetting that you have a shoe on your foot, even in the greatest heat" are therefore not just a promotional promise, but repeated feedback from customers, which we are very happy about.
Vegetable-tanned salmon leather captivates not only with its exotic appearance but also with its wearing properties: extremely tear-resistant, 100% breathable for the best foot climate, insensitive to rain and water, dirt can simply be brushed off or removed with a slightly damp, soft cloth.
Fit note: Our moccasins run one size smaller. We recommend ordering one size up.
